Strike action looms at a Saint Gobain, in Stafford, over a pay dispute.
Bosses at the company, which makes sandpaper, diamond blades, tools and other abrasives are tying to impose a real terms pay cut on GMB members.
GMB will begin a consultative ballot this month, with a full strike ballot to follow.
Stuart Harrison, GMB Organiser, said:
"In the midst of the worst cost of living crisis in a generation, bosses expect our members to accept a real terms pay cut.
"A 3 per cent pay offer doesn't even scratch the surface given the pressure our members are under. It simply isn't good enough
