"This Government has allowed water companies dump and spill sewage on our nation’s wonderful beaches almost with impunity.
“Today’s measures go nowhere near far enough – rehashing old policies on wet wipes won’t scratch the surface of cleaning up the environment and providing safe and clean bathing water.
“Public trust in the water companies is at an all-time low. Enough is enough; water companies are failing customers and the country as they pollute our waterways.”
