GMB, the energy union, has responded to research by Action for Children showing energy bills are one of the top concerns of working parents.
Andy Prendergast, GMB National Secretary, said:
"It’s no wonder energy bills are a top concern of working parents – as they are for everyone who doesn’t have unlimited cash.
“Leaving customers at the mercy of turbulent global energy markets is unfair and just doesn’t work.
“The UK needs a cohesive strategy to protect consumers and our energy security as well as ensuring stability in the industry."
