It’s not too late for management work out a fair deal
>Matalan deliveries are set to grind to a halt after 500 warehouse workers voted for strike action.
GMB members working at Matalan’s Northern Distribution Centre based in Knowsley, Merseyside, will walk out for 24 hours at 2pm on August 19, 2019.
The Knowsley distribution centre services e-commerce and store supplies across the north of England and Scotland
Further strike days will follow.
Workers voted to walk out after Matalan management made a pay offer which will see some workers get just 1.5% - equivalent to a real terms pay cut.

“This industrial action is a result of Matalan management making a frankly insulting pay offer.
“How can they expect hard working staff to accept real terms a pay cut?
“But it’s not too late for management to listen to workers and get back round the table with us to work out a fair deal.”
