JCB delivery drivers are to vote on strike action in anger at a real terms pay cut.
Dozens of GMB members, employed by delivery giant DHL, voted 95 per cent in favour of strike action during a consultative ballot.
The workers, who deliver JCB parts between factories across the UK, are now set for a full industrial action ballot at the end of the month.
Bosses are trying to impose at 5 per cent pay award, with inflation running at more tha 8 per cent.
Stuart Harrison, GMB Organiser, said:
"This ballot result sends a clear message to both JCB and DHL; drivers have had enough with not being listened to.
“We face a crushing cost of living crisis, they deserve more than a pay cut.
“GMB will now move to a formal industrial action ballot.”
