Workers at a Hinkley Point C, EDF and Rolls Royce supplier have voted to strike after turning down a pay deal.
More than 150 platers, welders and sheet metal workers at Darchem Engineering, in Stockton-Upon-Tees, will walk out for seven days follows:
22 June, from 6am for 24 hours
27 June, from 6am for 24 hours
29 June, from 6am for 24 hours
4 July, from 6am for 24 hours
6 July, from 6am for 24 hours
11 July, from 6am for 24 hours
13 July, from 6am for 24 hours
Workers turned down a pay deal of 6 per cent from 1 February, with a further 4 per cent from 1 October.
Andrew Blunt, GMB Organiser, said:
“Darchem’s engineers are skilled, hard workers building parts for a vital nuclear project.
“Yet during the cost of living crisis they’ve struggled to make ends meet. It’s not right.
"Darchem needs to recognise the worth of its employees or face serious delays from this strike action.”
