GMB Union, representing thousands of Birmingham City Council workers, has today responded to the Council’s budget announcements.
Delcan Downes, GMB Regional Organiser, said:
“Working people make Birmingham; now they’re again set to face the brunt of cuts to services.
“Council workers look after our children, they keep our communities clean and deliver the vital services so many of us rely on.
“This budget goes to show just how far our City has been let down over the past
decade; the future cannot hold more of the same for Brummie workers”.
