GMB will work closely with G4S to avoid compulsory redundancies
GMB, the security union, is fighting to save more than 100 G4S jobs after the company announced a restructure of its UK cash business network.
A number of potential branch closures and redundancies were announced on the 9 January 9, 2019.
GMB negotiators met with G4S today [January 18, 2019] to discuss the potential 138 redundancie and how they can be achieved through volunteer.
We are fully aware of the pressures on the cash services industry in the face of electronic payments and constant demand for cost-cutting from the finance and retail sectors

The union has also demanded that alternative posts are available to staff that are deemed at risk.
