Heart-breaking rise of racism nowhere more apparent than on football terraces
GMB union is backing Show Racism the Red Card’s annual awards ceremony at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium.
The event, which takes place this afternoon [Thursday April 25, 2019], features special VIP guests including Chris Kamara, Jason Lee and Gordon Taylor and will be presented by CBBC presenters Alex Winters & Ben Cajee.
One of the winning entries to receive the special Graham Taylor OBE Memorial Award and another winning entry will be recognised in a unique way with the Jo Cox Memorial Award.

“The work of Show Racism the Red Card has never been more important in using education in schools and the sport of football to address head on how vile, destructive and needless racism is.
