The fact these workers been so badly ignored and undervalued for DHL is staggering
GMB union members at DHL working on JCB World Logistics have backed industrial action in a dispute over an 'unacceptable' pay offer from DHL management.
Dozens of GMB members, employed by delivery giant DHL, voted 87 per cent per cent to proceed to a formal strike ballot
Depending on the result of the ballot, walk-outs at DHL could take place later in the Autumn.
Stuart Harrison, GMB Regional Organiser, said:
"The latest offer received from company management is unacceptable; GMB union members at DHL have rejected it overwhelmingly.
“These workers are absolutely central to the running of global construction giant JCB, the fact they’ve been so badly ignored and undervalued for DHL for a number of years is frankly staggering.
“The next steps for GMB are clear, a formal vote will now take place. We urge company management to bring a real offer to the table before it's too late.”
