GMB has described business lobby groups calling for an Employment Rights Bill U-turn as 'the same old vested interests.
Andy Prendergast, GMB National Secretary, said:
"Ministers can't listen to the same old vested interests making the same old tired arguments.
"The CBI and their ilk have opposed every advance in workers right, form a minimum wage to equal pay for women
"These are the voices for a status quo that has delivered nothing but decades of stagnation for working people.
"The Employment Rights Bill will level the playing field and make working people better off and Government should get on and bring it in."
