GMB’s National Race Organiser and Women’s Campaign Unit have come together on these two important areas for the union to offer sessions to aid and guide regions on organising on race and women’s work.
Our aim is for participants to take away the tools and confidence to be able to campaign and organise on issues of race and women’s work making it easier and accessible for them, while influencing the way we work in terms of equalities. We want to grow and strengthen the culture of organising with steps everyone can easily follow.
With a focus on campaigning and organising, the training will be delivered over two half day sessions and the content will include providing campaign teams with a common language along with practical tools and steps they can take away and action immediately.
We believe that the training will benefit everyone but primarily industrial teams, workplace representatives, Regional Equality Officers and Equality Strand Leads.
We are aiming to make arrangements to visit every Region and provide sessions/workshops.
