GMB asked Birmingham City Council Chief Executive Deborah Cadman to come clean on the plan to settle our members’ equal pay claims.
In response, we were told settlement talks would not start until into the new year – an unjustifiable decision which could add tens of millions of pounds to Birmingham’s equal pay debts and threaten services across the city.
Enough is enough.
It’s time for Birmingham to get serious about settlement.
